Sundeep and Rachna 8.6.16
Several hours later…
Our photography team was simply delighted at the opportunity to photograph Sundeep and Rachna’s traditional Indian wedding. Our day started early at Nile Shrine Golf Course, with Rachna tucked away awaiting Sundeep’s arrival, the Baraat. Then, seated for the ceremony, the groom had a cloth held in front of him as Rachna entered. As the cloth was removed, they saw each other for the first time that day. During the Jaymala, the bride and groom exchanged flower garlands. They said vows, and walked around an open flame seven times. After lunch, we witnessed the Doli, a ritual where the bride’s family says goodbye to the bride (typically emotional, the families depart in a car the guests push). Several hours later, we met up with Sundeep and Rachna again, now dressed for the reception. The reception featured delicious food, performances, and the wildest dance floor we have ever seen (rather, felt). Congratulations, you guys! This was such an amazing, colorful, gorgeous day!
